Sexual health is fundamental to the overall health and well-being of individuals, couples, and families, and to the social and economic development of communities and countries. The management of which encompasses a wide variety of services.

Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs)

To protect you from sexually transmitted diseases we offer a wide array of testing and treatments. We test for the following STDs:

  • Bacterial Vaginosis (BV)
  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhea
  • Genital Herpes
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
  • Mycoplasma genitalium (Mgen)
  • Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)
  • Syphilis
  • Trichomoniasis

We also can help you with preventing any future STDs through either education or vaccinations such as the HPV and Hepatitis B vaccine.

Women's Health

Here at Family Practice Medical Center, we offer a variety of services in women's health which include but are not limited to:

  • Pap Smears and HPV testing - these tests can be done at the same time or separate depending on your preference. Women between 21 to 65 years old are recommended to perform a pap smear every 3-5 years (5 if done with HPV testing, 3 if done separately).
  • Mammograms - We do not do mammograms in house, but we do refer patients for mammogram scheduling. 
  • Hormone replacement therapy 
  • Perimenopausal and menopausal care

Reproductive Health

We provide pregnancy testing, after which if positive, our providers will be able to let you know just how far along you are.

If you are trying to prevent pregnancy, then we offer a variety of contraception options:

  • Birth Control Pills
  • Contraceptive Shots - which can protect you for up to three months.
  • IUDs - which can be inserted in the arm or cervix and can protect you for 3 or 5 years.

If at any time you received an IUD regardless of if it was from our office or not we can remove or replace it for you.
